2010 TNS Holiday Card
Project Mission
Each year Turner Network Sales produces two holiday cards, a generic card for affiliates and partners, and an executive card for A-list clients. TNS placed a bid for agencies in Atlanta to present ideas/concepts to the Affiliate Marketing Group and TNS leadership. The goal of the card was to leave a memorable impression, let the recipient know that Turner cherished their ongoing partnership, and to reinforce that the Turner brands were valuable assets to “power” their business. The tone and image of the holiday card needed to reflect the emotions of the holiday season without having ties to religious affiliations or cultural symbols.
Four agencies submitted concepts, and my card design (below) presented by Hawthorne Visual was selected as the final winning layout for the generic card version.
Concept Rationale
Whether it is the Holiday Season or any time of year, who doesn’t enjoy tearing open a gift? The concept of a gift being unwrapped shows the “Joy” that Turner brings across all platforms. The blue color and sparkles convey the wintery season while wishing you joy for the Holidays. Inside message – “Delivered to you. Wherever you are.” – conveys the message that the Turner brands bring a diverse audience together in the spirit of the Holidays.
Below are the three draft design options I created around the concept of holiday ‘Joy’. The Creative Director selected the middle version for me to further develop and submit in the agency presentation to client.
